Creating Successful Transitions Within Your Classrooms

Transition times are usually the most difficult and stressful parts of the day in child care. A group of children are being asked to shift from one activity to another, and move from one task to another in a relatively short period of time. Some children have a particularly difficult time during transitions.  In this training, we will discuss why transitions are important, as well as appropriate transitions that can be utilized within a classroom environment to help diminish the resistance and challenging behaviors during times of change throughout a regular day.  Also included within this training are different transition strategies that can be used during transitional periods of daycare to PreK and PreK to Kindergarten to help both teachers and parents alike!
