Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois Complaint Policy
CCR&R Service Complaints
A person wishing to make a complaint to Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois concerning services of CCR&R may ask to speak with a manager or may direct complaints in writing to:

Provider Complaints
A person with a complaint about a provider may communication the complaint to any member of the Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois staff and any member of the Child Care Resource & Referral of Midwestern Illinois staff may initiate a complaint themselves.
If the complaint is in regards to a personal issue with a provider (ie differences in style, child-rearing values, practices, a business agreement under which care is provided) the CCR&R will, as appropriate and with the permission of the caller, help the caller and/or provider clarify the problem and resolve it, offer technical assistance to the caller and/or provider, or assist the caller in locating an alternative provider.
If the the complaint is in regards to a licensing violation the caller will be strongly encouraged to report such matters to the appropriate Illinois Department of Human Services (DCFS) Licensing Office. Information on how to make a licensing complaint can be found on the DCFS Licensing page.
In instances of reports of child abuse and neglect the caller will be instructed to immediately call the DCFS State Central Register (Child Abuse Hotline) at 1-800-25-ABUSE (1-800-252-2873) to report the complaint. If you suspect that a child has been harmed or is in immediate danger of harm , call 911 first. More information on reporting child abuse and neglect can be found on the DCFS Child Protection page.
