This training provides information on healthy sexual development for children. Participants will understand what sexual development is and what is typical verse atypical behavior. This training also discusses what child sex abuse is, how to identify it, how to handle such an incident, and ways we can protect children from abuse. Participants will be able to recognize the importance of supporting healthy sexual development and will be able to categorize what is typical vs. atypical behavior. Attendees will also understand and be able to discuss child sexual abuse and how to handle disclosure of child sexual abuse.
