Our seizure recognition and response training is designed to educate and empower individuals to confidently support someone experiencing a seizure. This training includes:
- An overview of several different types of seizures, including how each type may present.
- Guidance on how to appropriately respond to each type of seizure to ensure safety and support.
- Discussion on anti-seizure medications, including how they work, common side effects, and how both seizures and medication may impact a student’s daily life and learning.
- Identification of common seizure triggers and how to help reduce risk when possible.
- An overview of rescue medications, including when and how they should be used.
This training is ideal for school staff, community organizations, first responders, and anyone wanting to be better prepared to support individuals living with epilepsy.
